A Message from Our Founder
The Lesedi Group was born from something I have seen repeatedly throughout my career and through my service to others: People and organizations often recognize that something needs to change before they know what to do about it. Sometimes the challenge is organizational. A team may need a different approach. A leader may be trying to determine how best to move forward. An organization may have a good idea but need a strategy for turning that idea into action. Sometimes the challenge is personal. A family may be caring for an aging parent, preparing to downsize, supporting a child with disabilities, or entering a season of life they never expected. And sometimes, we simply find ourselves at a crossroads. A crossroads doesn't always mean there is only one way forward. Throughout my career, I have often helped leaders step back from a situation, consider their options, understand the implications, and determine the best course of action. I don't believe there is always one perfect answer. Sometimes our greatest value is helping people see possibilities they didn't see before. The name Lesedi is meaningful to me because, in several Southern African languages, Lesedi means “light.” Light allows us to see what may not have been visible before. It can reveal possibilities, help us understand our choices, and illuminate more than one path forward. That is what I hope The Lesedi Group provides. Not always one answer, but the perspective to see the options and the confidence to choose the path that best fits the situation. Through The Lesedi Group, I have the privilege of doing that work in different ways—from organizational strategy, leadership, and transformation to Strategies4Life, which helps individuals and families prepare for important conversations and life transitions. Through Memorial & Tribute Support, we also help families navigate the practical details of honoring someone they love during one of life's most difficult transitions. The circumstances may be different, but the purpose remains the same: To illuminate possibilities, create pathways, and help people move forward with purpose. I believe meaningful change doesn't always begin with having all the answers. Sometimes it begins with asking better questions, seeing the situation differently, and recognizing that there may be more than one path forward. That is the light I hope to bring.
